Hope House & Garden Wish List 2020

VEJ's Hope House & Garden has been a place of prayer, education, and action since 2011. This year brought crisis to the neighborhood (COVID-19 and economic recession) and critical repair needs to the Hope House buildings and grounds that serve the neighborhood. If you see an item on the wish list you would like to "adopt," click on the photo to find out how you can  donate cash, materials, and/or skilled labor to meet the need. Thank you for being a neighbor to the good people of Hope Park. 
COMPLETE AND PAID FOR! Thanks to the Desai Sethi Foundation. Remove one dead tree and two trees to double the garden and install beehives. Turn wood into fence posts (contractor approved, donate cash to cover cost).
COMPLETE AND PAID FOR! THANKS TO NAVIEN. Replace broken tankless hot water heater (donate cash, materials, and/or skilled labor).
COMPLETE AND PAID FOR! THANKS TO DESAI SETHI FOUNDATION AND BARTON MALOW. Install deer and rodent fence to make sure our garden grows more food for people (donate cash, materials, and/or skilled labor).
COMPLETE AND PAID FOR! THANK YOU! Install two Bees in the D beehives to pollinate gardens within three miles of Hope House (cash donation only).
Replace broken window (donate cash, materials, and/or skilled labor).
Garden supplies: Baskets for harvesting and delivering produce to food pantry, compost and soil, gloves and tools (donate cash or materials).
Hire two neighborhood youth to work in the garden (donate cash).
Repair broken door frame and storm door (donate cash, materials, and/or skilled labor).
COMPLETE AND PAID FOR. THANKS TO BARTON MALOW. Replace ramps, rails, and steps at two entrances (donate cash, materials, and/or skilled labor).
Make a cash donation to support the garden as a neighborhood food producer, gathering place, and job center.
