Voices for Earth Justice
Voices
for Earth Justice and First Unitarian of Detroit invite
you to: An
Interfaith Winter Solstice Celebration WHEN:
Wednesday,
December 21, 2011, 6:00 PM WHAT : We
invite you to join us in remembering our deep connection to the movements
of the sun in this season of the celebration of LIGHT.
WHY: Since the dawn of humanity, people
have gathered around fires and candles on the longest night of the year to
ignite their hope for a bright future. In modern times, we have sometimes
lost touch with the cycles of nature, so we gather together again to
deepen our connections with nature and each
other. WHERE:
Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 4605 Cass Ave. (and Forest), Detroit.
There is parking behind the building---look for signs.
COST:
None, refreshments will be served, and donations for food accepted.
E-mail voices4earth@juno.com, or
call 248-351-9001 for directions or more
information.

to attend. “This
